CPL Learning continues to expand range of free courses with addition of the Planning Delivery and Takeaway course.
Over the last few weeks, the hospitality industry has increasingly faced some of its toughest challenges. We at CPL Learning wanted to offer support where we could to the industry we’ve been working so closely with for so long. In response to recent events, we have launched a series of free courses including our Coronavirus – Taking Proactive Action courses for hospitality and retail. Our latest free course is our Planning Delivery and Takeaway Course.
What’s the news?
Following the government’s most recent advice, all pubs, cafes, restaurants and other hospitality and leisure services are now not allowed to open their doors to the public. The government has however relaxed the regulations around setting up a takeaway or delivery service. Whether this option would work for your business is dependant on your own business circumstances. You will need to consider the advice surrounding social distancing, but with the demand on supermarkets being high and some people in self-isolation, there may still be a demand for food delivery services in your area.
What you need to consider
If you decide that a delivery or takeaway service could be a viable option for you, there are a number of practical considerations you should keep in mind. The Planning Delivery and Takeaway course will help guide you through some of these considerations. You may need to explore support for delivery from some of the popular delivery partners such as UberEATS and Deliveroo.
You will also need to carefully consider and possibly enhance your current hygiene measures to allow for anything you need to do differently for takeaway and delivery.
Although the regulations around delivery and takeaway have been relaxed, it’s important to understand any legal considerations or requirements.
You may also want to consider your marketing and communication channels for informing your customers about what services are available and how they can access them.
The free Takeaway and Delivery planning course covers all these aspects and more and will help you form a checklist of actions you need to consider in changing your usual business practices.
Looking after each other
This is a worrying time for all of us, and it’s very important to look after the emotional wellbeing of your customers, team members and of course, yourself. Consider carefully what you need to do to service the needs of your business and your local community.
As well as our new contingency and planning courses, CPL Learning is also offering our Mental Health Support Champion and Personal Resilience courses free of charge to support people during this time.
In addition, we have also reduced a huge amount of our other online courses by 75% so you and your team can access a wide range of training courses to help you stay engaged and motivated.
Remember to follow us on social media for updates and information on the course as the situation develops.
