FAQs

What is the DSE qualification?

As per The Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations 1992, DSE training is a legal requirement for anyone who regularly uses display screen equipment in their job role. This includes smartphones and tablets. Our course supports anyone working towards their Level 2 qualification.

What are four hazards associated with display screen equipment?

Some team members may suffer from fatigue, eye strain, upper limb problems or backache from overuse or improper use of DSE. These issues can be as a result of poorly designed workstations or work environments.

When working with display screen equipment what should all staff ensure they review on a regular basis?

Staff should make sure to complete a workstation self-assessment on their DSE environment prior to use. Whenever there’s change to the working environment it should be re-assessed and reported to their manager.
