Slavery was officially abolished over two centuries ago, yet thousands of people in the UK remain in forced labour across many industries, particularly hospitality. This course will provide the knowledge on how to report, identify, and handle modern slavery in and around the workplace. It will reference the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and provide information on what to do if you are concerned.
This online course aims to help team members learn about what modern slavery is and how they and their organisations can help to eradicate it. From how to report concerns, to understanding working practices and policies, and the organisation’s supply chain.
This course is suitable for all levels of team member working in either a hospitality or retail setting and will show how to ensure compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

- Articulate the legal requirements under the Modern Slavery Act.
- Identify possible aspects of Modern Slavery in UK supply chains.
- Provide some examples of ‘red flags’.
- Comment on their organisation’s internal reporting procedures.
