LGBTQ+ Awareness
Available for free throughout February to celebrate LGBTQ+ History Month.
The LGBTQ+ Awareness course aims to inform users on how to reduce stigmatism within the workplace and enable people to be comfortable in their own working environment. The course looks at diversity, important definitions within the LGBTQ+ community and useful tips to create an LGBTQ+ friendly workplace.
Upon completion of the course, learners will be able to understand the importance of having a diverse workforce, the importance of having an LGBTQ+ friendly workplace and have the necessary knowledge of how to handle a situation where an LGBTQ+ colleague confides in them about their sexuality.
Interviews with a member of the LGBTQ+ community and a HR manager provide insight into what real life experiences the community face in the workplace, reaffirming the need for LGBTQ+ awareness.
By having an understanding and knowledge of LGBTQ+ awareness, learners will understand the positive impacts an inclusive workplace can have on a business. Learners will be able to implement practical steps in their own workplace to increase inclusivity.
