The Leading Great Shifts learning activity has been designed to provide knowledge and capability for hospitality shift leaders to run effective shifts.
On completion of the learning activity learners will be able to demonstrate the steps that need to be completed before, during and after the shift for the shift to be successful.
The activity starts by explaining the importance of effective shift leadership. Following this, a shift leader model is explored in depth with practical steps on how to implement this in a business. To summarise, the activity evaluates the key shift success criteria.
The learning activity is suitable for all levels of team members. It would benefit any team members who lead shifts as part of their role. This learning activity is also suitable for team members looking to progress and increase their knowledge.
You will be able to...
- Explain the importance of effective shift leadership and the value it can create to the guest, the team and the success of the shift including revenue
- Apply the shift leadership model – preparing the shift, engaging the team and communicating effectively
- Establish effective communication, pre, during and post shift
- Define key shift success criteria and choose appropriate measures to measure shift success
Duration: 60 minutes.
Valid: Up to 1 year after purchase.
Assessment: At the end of the course you will be tested through an assessment consisting of 10 questions. You must answer 70% of the questions correctly to pass and receive your certificate.
