CPL Learning Launches Free COVID-19 e-learning Course

The new course has been launched to support hospitality businesses in contingency planning during the COVID-19 outbreak.

CPL Learning have launched a new online course to help guide businesses during the outbreak of COVID-19. The free course has been produced in collaboration with David Edwards, SpeakEzi, a member of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health who has a wealth of experience in food safety, integrity and protection in senior, board and consultant capacities.

Coronavirus

Supporting Hospitality

Developed specifically to support the hospitality industry, the course helps guide businesses in making preparations and contingencies to deal with the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. Aimed predominantly at outlet management, it covers what coronavirus is and how the infection spreads, areas to consider and plan for, operational tips, training guides and the most up-to-date hygiene advice for food and drink establishments. There will also be a range of support materials to be used in venues to support the course.

Information is the Key

The course draws on key government information, data and research from CGA and advice from UK Hospitality. As the situation is changing daily, the course will also be continually updated, with new versions being released reflecting the most up-to-date information available.

“This is a challenging time for hospitality businesses, and we felt it was important that we took steps to support the sector and help protect the well-being of team members and customers,” said Martin Hilton, Director of Learning and Education at CPL Learning. “We partnered with the experts at SpeakEzi so that we could share their knowledge and best practice advice” continued Hilton.

No Fee – We’re All in this Together

The course is being offered free of charge and is available to all those working in hospitality via the CPL Learning website or it can be allocated onto current client’s platforms quickly and easily.

The outbreak is already impacting on hospitality businesses, with many reporting a fall in visitors and bookings. And with business leaders reporting that the virus is of concern to them, it was important for CPL Learning to offer support through the sharing of advice and best practices to implement.
