
LGBT Awareness
Available for free throughout February to celebrate LGBT History Month.
The LGBT Awareness course aims to inform users on how to reduce stigmatism within the workplace and enable people to be comfortable in their own working environment. The course looks at diversity, important definitions within the LGBT community and useful tips to create an LGBT friendly workplace.
Upon completion of the course, learners will be able to understand the importance of having a diverse workforce, the importance of having an LGBT friendly workplace and have the necessary knowledge of how to handle a situation where an LGBT colleague confides in them about their sexuality.
Interviews with a member of the LGBT community and a HR manager provide insight into what real life experiences the community face in the workplace, reaffirming the need for LGBT awareness.
By having an understanding and knowledge of LGBT awareness, learners will understand the positive impacts an inclusive workplace can have on a business. Learners will be able to implement practical steps in their own workplace to increase inclusivity.
